This is a story about the time we designed last minute event logo while on vacation. We had a design brief call in a car on the side of a road, brainstormed concepts while winding through the backwoods of British Columbia, and completed production in a hotel in Kamloops. Yep, that happened. I say vacation but as any small business owner will tell you, there is no such thing as a vacation yet I wouldn't have it any other way. It was rewarding to be able to solve the problem remotely.
A logo was needed in order to get bicycle jerseys printed in time for a family fun ride in Mississauga hosted by Les Domestiques on cycling safety and the importance of wearing helmets. Helmets were donated to the first 200 kids, Lids 4 Kids tees were given to child riders, and jerseys were given to the adult riders.
Howard Chang, whom I worked with at Top Drawer Creative, was a cyclist and sponsor of the event and had this important message to share.
In the end, the event was a success with and we were happy to be part of protecting the minds of tomorrow.
