Wrapping up the YSDN Facets Grad Show was the best way to complete my degree. The year-long process of designing and implementing elements for the show was an amazing learning experience. As a mature student, I did not have the same experience as some of my classmates so I was very happy to work more closely with my peers during the grad show planning process. I was honoured to be nominated co-chair alongside the intensely hilarious Dylan Mitchell-Funk.
Some of our duties involved budget and project management, sponsorship procurement, and guiding each respective team: branding, identity, sponsorship, display, etc. There were some random tasks that came up as well: consoler, Uhaul truck returner, and MacBook hoarder. Overall, I was pleased with the end result and the dedication of my peers.
Seeing the variety of talent in our graduating class was very inspiring and now have a list of artists to call upon, each with their own specialty. I'd like to thank the students, professors, sponsors, and supporters who attended the show.
